Bronze Bass 44 Acoustic Long Scale Standard 45-105

These roundwound bronze strings deliver a deep and punchy tone for acoustic bass guitars.
An old stalwart from Rotosound’s history that still has a loyal following among the acoustic
bass fraternity, the tonal response from our specially formulated bronze really brightens up
an otherwise muddy sound from certain hollow bodied basses.

Beyond the bronze age
Phosphor bronze is an alloy of copper and tin and has become the industry standard for acoustic
guitar strings. For music string wire, tin alloyed with copper adds an excellent all round sound
with depth and warmth without loss of clarity – not quite the zing or edginess of brass but with
more of an accentuated middle.

Great British quality
Manufactured in the UK to precise tolerances and using only the finest materials, you can rely on
Rotosound strings for consistent tone and performance in every packet.
Every Bronze Bass 44 string is manufactured on custom built machines designed and built in the UK
by Jason How.

chart toppers Level 42."

King of funk
“I’ve been lucky enough to have been involved with Rotosound for over thirty years now, going right back to my
first Jaydee and the custom gauges that the guys made up for me, 30-50-70-90, and still do to this day, only now
with double-ball ends for my Status King basses.
“The fantastic tonal consistency of the strings has been the bedrock of my sound, and we all know that your sound
starts with the strings, right?” - Mark King"

Iconic music strings
This innovation continues Rotosound’s proud legacy of cutting-edge string design that started with our roundwound
strings in the sixties.Developed in conjunction with some of the world's top artists, Rotosound strings are
synonymous with timeless tone, longevity and rock history. Started in 1958 by James How, an engineer who made strings
or his own instruments, Rotosound became known around the world for its superior quality products and famous endorsees
such as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Queen to name just a few. The Who’s John Entwistle started a long partnership with
James and helped develop the Swing Bass roundwound strings which have become the industry standard.
Gathering the most prominent artists over the following decades from Jaco Pastorius to The Edge, Oasis to Guthrie
Govan, Rotosound has been the go-to string for every music generation."
