The 30"-scale 4-string bass is downsized enough to be comfortable to play for children and women while still 
providing a good focused tone that will work in virtually any playing context. The simple volume and tone 
electronics layout with a soapbar pickup in the bridge position allows the player to focus on playing the 
music instead of being distracted by too many sound choices. While not common, the 30" short scale basses 
have been popular with even pro-level bass players since the 60’s due to their ease of playability as well 
as improved portability.

Poplar Body
Although not as well known or highly regarded as Alder, Poplar is a fine tonewood that is reminiscent of Alder 
in sonic character. Full sounding with strong mids and a firm low-end that’s well balanced across the tonal
